Chow Mien a la Panda Express™

Ingredients:

  • 2 (5 ounce) packages of Yakisoba (dry) noodles
  • 2 tablespoons reduce sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons peanut or canola oil
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 medium-size white onion, finely sliced
  • 2 celery stalks, cut diagonally into 1/4 inch slices
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
  • 8 ounces Napa (Chinese) cabbage, shredded

 

Preparation:

Cook noodles according to package directions (without seasoning package), drain, and cool to room temperature.

In a small bowl whisk the soy sauce, oyster sauce and the brown sugar, set aside

Heat oil in a wok over high. Add the onion, celery, ginger and cabbage  into the wok, stir fry and toss continuously until the vegetables become soft and some of them are slightly charred.

Add noodles, and cook, stirring constantly, 1 minute.

Add sauce mixture; cook, stirring occasionally, 2 minutes.
