Flatbread with Pesto, Tomatoes, and Mozzarella

Flatbread with Pesto, Tomatoes, and Mozzarella

Ingredients:

  • 2 flat breads
  • 1/4 cup basil pesto (homemade or store bought)
  • 1 cup grated fresh mozzarella
  • 4 Roma tomatoes, sliced
  • Sea salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

 

Preparation:

Preheat oven to 500 degrees F.  Spread pesto over dough leaving a 1/4-inch border. Sprinkle with cheese. Arrange tomato slices over cheese and season with sea salt and freshly ground black pepper.

Place the flatbread onto a Pizza Stone or Stoneware Bar Pan 11 1/2″ x 7 3/4″ and bake flatbread until it is crisp and brown, about 6-8 minutes, and transfer  to a cutting board.

Cut flatbread into slices and serve immediately.
